My machine at work is managed and without the Java JVM, much to my chagrin. I tried to install both the 1.42 JRE and SDK, but neither can be installed without admin access.
I don't need the plugins—I just need java.exe to work. Is this possible?

Thanks. That worked great! But, I did have to get the files from my home machine via CD. So, I did a sneakernet and SFMUNInet file transfer.
