Jay Fienberg, founder

Jay Fienberg has worked for many years as a web strategist, interaction designer, information architect, knowledge architect, librarian, editor, online community manager, and technologist specializing in collaborative / social software and websites.

Since the early 1990s, Jay has been developing technology and information systems to provide creative ways of connecting people with information and with each other. These technologies and systems, at various times, have been billed as databases, library catalogs, information archives, electronic document publishers, content management systems, knowledge management systems, personalization systems, collaboration tools, websites, and web services.

For a number of years, Jay Fienberg played a lead role at Simmedia where he focused on website strategy, user experience and user interface development, especially the integration of content, architecture, design, interaction, technology, findability and usability. Jay has architected and/or built a gazillion web pages, and has created both major commercial brand and heavy-lifting UI websites.

In 2003-2004, Jay Fienberg worked as the senior information architect and knowledge consultant for the AAA of Northern California / CSAA, where he architected and developed the enterprise's collaboration / KM portal and internal blog program.

In September 2004, with his wife Anastasia Fuller, Jay relocated to Seattle (from San Francisco). Jay and Anastasia blog jointly as Fine & Full, and now also work together as Juxtaprose offering creative content, UX / interaction design / information architecture and website services, and consulting. Jay also does music as the Ear Reverends and blogs Wrong Notes.
