My new job title: Knowledge Consultant

posted: Aug 13, 2003 3:15:38 PM

On Monday, I will start a new job which comes with the title "Knowledge Consultant"!

This is good news for me, since I have been looking for work for a while, though how it will affect my work on the development of the iCite net and my blogging here remains to be seen. I certainly should have some different things to report on in the areas of knowledge management, k-logs, and such.

So, after my conversation with Don Park a couple weeks ago where he was making fun of one of my former job titles, "information architect", I hope my new title now appropriately furthers Don's confusion about what title to give himself.

Actually, I am surprised how many of my friends seem to grok the title knowledge consultant more than information architect! It just shows to go you.

I don't know. Knowledge Consultant sounds like Librarian, a keeper of knowledge, whom you consult to find knowledge. ;)

Duh. I somehow missed "On Monday, I will start a new job", thinking you were musing only to be befuddled with David's congratz. Woohoo! I am happy to see you that you won't have as much time to blog as before (?!?). Heart-leaping Congratulations to ya, Jay! You owe me lunch for no reason at all.
