RSS / Atom / RDF transformers, where art thou?

posted: Feb 23, 2004 7:27:50 PM

Calling all RSS / Atom / RDF transformers (XSLT stylesheets, in general, I presume)!! Let's build an index listing them all. Please leave a comment with a link if you know of one.

So, as part of my crazy prototyping, I thought it would be a good idea if I could take any RSS-type feed, convert the data into a common format (maybe, hmm, let's see . . . RDF?), do stuff with the data, and then output the results in any of the RSS-type formats. So, for example, take data in RSS 1.0, RSS 2.0, and Atom 0.3, convert them to a common format, shake and bake, and the produce results in, say, RSS 0.92.

Since it is all XML, and since lots of folks must have done some transformations in their feed readers, etc., I figured there must be a bunch of XSLT stylesheets out there just for this. Coincidentally, Danny Ayers just linked to Morten Frederiksen's RSS x.x to RSS 1.0 stylesheet (which looks like it will do the first half of what I need to do!!).

Anyway, I'd like to compile an index of all the various RSS-related transformers out there. If such an index exists, please leave me a link and I'll rest easier knowing the world is doing OK even without my having a clue. But, otherwise, I'll try to make a good index and find it a proper home.

See, for example, Aaron's XSLT for going from Atom 0.3 to RSS 1.0 and RSS 2.0 (expressed in RDF)

It'd help if I posted the URL for that:
