A new version, 1.9, of blojsom, the open source software that powers this blog, was just released (see the changelog for what's new, if you are interested). David Czarnecki, the creator of blojsom, mentioned the update in his blog. Thanks David!
Some software is functional and that is good, but I find blojsom functional and fun to work with. So, I am excited that the new version is out. There are several new features I am looking forward to playing with.
But, today, I am trying to finalize and upload all the changes to this website altogether. So, I am not going to be able to upgrade to blojsom 1.9 for a couple days.
I have been working on some of my own little hacks to blojsom that will be featured in the upcoming changes to the site. These aren't actually hacks to blojsom codethey are just configuration tricks plus some tweaks to a servlet filter I already have running that makes some of the blojsom URLs nicer.
So, I am expecting all of my hacks will remain compatible with the new version of blojsom, but I need to set aside some time to test it all before I upgrade blojsom on the live site.
