Anastasia's photo blog is up on My Expressions

posted: Jul 14, 2003 12:05:04 AM

Last week, Anastasia started her photo blog, Anastasia's View, as a free trial on the new My Expressions visual blog system. I love her photography and am happy to see her publishing it online.

If you look closely at the link I provide to Anastasia's View, you will notice it is actually a link to a page on this site that currently redirects to her My Expressions site.

This is because, most likely, Anastasia will not keep her blog there and will move it to her own domain with a more DIY-admin blog system.

My Expressions looks very good in many respects and Anastasia is generally pleased with the way the site tools are oriented towards highlighting images rather than text, which in some ways matches Anastasia's need as a photographer wanting to share her work via a blog.

But, Anastasia is also a hand-coding HTML artisan, and I think she will ultimately succumb to her impulses to be able to totally tweak her blog on most every level. Also, along these lines, she does want to write a lot on her blog at times.

So, anyway, I thought I would create a redirect page on this site, and that way, wherever Anastasia's blog ends up, I can update that page so that this post will always point to her site.

With the iCite net, one goal is to make permalinks much more permanent, and also create a domain name like conceptual address that can stay the same even when domains change.

So, when I have that up and running, I should be able to give you a link to the Anastasia's View iCite that will direct you to any and all of the sites she or others create for her photography work.
