A number of recent comments on RDF were themselves or otherwise led me to interesting resources that I read today. These include:

RDF/XML is not the only fruit, by Danny Ayers. I read this post and everything he linked to in it very closely.

A number of comments reflect on the activities described in Sam Ruby's Quantifying the "RDF tax" and XML to RDF transformation.

Simon St. Laurent asks and answers both What's right with RDF and Why I don't like RDF. Interesting to hear the same person taking both sides of a point / counter-point. Simon makes a number of good points both for and against.

Shelley Powers' Tax? Or Precision and I am not the Church, and RDF is not the Earth are excellent.

Also very interesting is Bill de hÓra's Meta-models all the way up: and why RDF is useful anyway.

The older What is RDF?, by Tim Bray and revised by Dan Brickley is a nice RDF intro. I need to add this to the RDF section of my page of resources related to the development of the iCite net.

And, finally, I found useful Bob DuCharme's and John Cowan's Make Your XML RDF-Friendly because it has clear illustrations of some of the major differences between RDF/XML and XML.
