Government information awareness (GIA)

Check out this story, Website turns tables on government officials, from Hiawatha Bray of the Boston Globe.

Chris Csikszentmihalyi, an assistant professor at the MIT Media Lab, and Ryan McKinley, a graduate student, have created the Government Information Awareness (GIA) project to publish information of government officials. This was inspired by and in response to the US government's Total Information Awareness program (TIA).

For some reason, the article doesn't provide a live link to the GIA site, which is: http://opengov.media.mit.edu/.

Looks like another interesting experiment in democracy, brought to you from your friends from the second superpower via the Internet.
