I haven't added it to this site yet, but David Czarnecki recently announced he has a live necho 0.1 feed on his blog, and he also has posted the blojsom necho flavor template too.

Because it is so easy to add "flavors" to blojsom, I will add a necho feed to this blog as soon as necho gets a little more stable.

In case you missed it or otherwise tuned out for a week, necho 0.1 is the first spec of what was called the Echo Project a week or two ago.

In a related revelation, David has had to pull the blojsom support for the Blogger 2 API, because Blogger has dropped the Blogger 2 API and will be instead supporting the development of the N/Echo API (more info on Blogger API developments.)

I am glad that this new N/Echo weblog API will match the N/Echo syndication format. It sounds like they are moving from XML-RPC to SOAP, though I always thought it might be nice just to be able to HTTP Post an item in the syndication format. (Note: I wrote more about this in May in my Weblog APIs and RSS as Weblog API.)

Last week, I started writing more about RSS and N/Echo and decided instead to just do other things instead. However, I would like to put out my RSS (N/Echo) Autodiscovery link usage suggestion to see if this is something worth getting into the wider discussions.
