Today Anastasia and I visited San Francisco's Ferry Plaza Farmers Market for the first time, which is amazing. I highly recommend it to anyone in the City who enjoys such things.

In reference to Eric S. Raymond's The Cathedral and the Bazaar, I think this kind of farmer's market offers an inspiring experience to inform one's work and civic lives— including things like the design of open and/or social software projects.

I find enjoyable entering a circumstances of lots of people engaged in an established, elaborate, but almost entirely unregulated and unscripted pattern of creative interchange. It's fun!
