LID digital identity

posted: Jan 6, 2005 2:36:42 PM

LID is a product (I think) that is a "Light-Weight IDentity™" mechanism. It's basically exactly the same idea as the prototype ID mechanism I've planned to build into the iCite net, so I'm excited to see that someone has built this and made it available (though, I'm not 100% sure under what conditions it's available . . .).

Also, there are some interesting similarities with my code-name kickitch sub project, though kickitch has nothing to do with ID (sorry to be cryptic, but I'd like kickitch to be something of a surprise).

Anyway, I going to try to set myself up with a LID, and I'll post more on that if it works out for me. ID in the iCite net can work across multiple mechanisms, and LID looks like an obvious one to include.

title: Negotiations of the future

After my last post about LID, I ...thought I'd look more into what it takes to integrate with TypeKey and what TypeKey client code is out there.
